Mandy Woodland

Mandy is a reformed commercial lawyer and molecular biologist, and serial entrepreneur. Her current company (Jellyfish) works with progressive businesses to evolve and grow through innovation and design strategy. She loves to talk about design thinking, health and medtech, innovation strategy, inbound marketing, and side hustles. Mandy is currently the Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the Health Innovation Initiative, she is a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Innovation Council, and also runs business retreats for entrepreneurs. With a B.Sc. (Biology) from Memorial, an LL.B. from Dalhousie, and a Masters of Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University, Mandy applies her education and diverse work experience (fish researcher/commercial diver/PBL instructor of Pharmacy/endocrinology researcher/startup CEO) to advance the technology and innovation sector in Newfoundland and Labrador. She is a past winner of the Entrepreneur of the Year (Innovation) from NLOWE, former Chair of NATI, a Rotary award winner for community contribution, and was a fellow of the School of Graduate Studies at Memorial University in 2000.
